Surviving Sexual Assault - Sexual Assault Survivor Group
Chrysalis Psychotherapy for Women offers a 12-week group for survivors of sexual assault. Specific themes covered include: Rape Trauma Syndrome, recognizing survivor reaction, managing anger and rage, self in relation to intimate others, self in relation to family of origin, confronting societal myths and moving beyond victimization.

Anger Management
This program is designed to provide a safe environment for women to gain insight into angry thoughts and feelings and learn valuable tools for modifying aggressive behavior and internal rage. The goal of the program is to help women identify triggers and understand their meaning, learn relaxation techniques, build life communication skills, change destructive patterns of behavior and develop the tools to maintain positive changes over time.

Self Injury
This program is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment where women can understand the physical and emotional consequences of self injury while examining the causes for the behavior. The goal of the program is to help women recognize that self injury is a destructive way to manage intolerable feelings while they learn alternative ways of expressing their pain and develop the tools to help expand their functioning.

Grief and Loss
The program is designed to provide a safe environment for women whose lives have been affected by loss. The goal is to help women process their grief, feel supported and understood and to help resolve unfinished business caused by a significant loss. The group helps participants move through the stages of grief, manage their emotional pain and find ways to help them reinvest in their lives. Group participation helps to combat feelings of isolation and promotes the self-care that is critical during the grieving process.
